Pocket Vomit: My Daily Carry
I ran a cross a tumbler blog the other day called Pocket Vomit, I thought the name was catchy, and I liked the concept. The idea is simple, just empty your pockets and snap a photo. Here’s what have on me pretty much everyday.
- Citizen Blue Angels Titanium
- Kershaw Scamp
- Motorola Droid X w/Otterbox
- 4Sevens Preon 2 w/flat tailcap
- Paracord Bracelet
- Keys w/carabiner and paracord lanyard
It’s amazing how handy it can be to keep a knife, flashlight, and some 550 chord on you. Granted my paracord bracelet is more tati-cool than anything, but if the need ever arose, I’d have 25′ handy.
The flashlight and knife on the other hand, I tend to use daily. Now that we’re back to standard time it’s dark when I get home from work. I usually pull out the Preon2 when I walk through the back yard to unpen my two Great Danes, and occasionally it’d have to hold it in my mouth while I fill in a hole one of them dug during the day. Maybe one day I’ll break them of that habit. Then there’s my knife. It’s not always a the same knife, but there is always a blade in my pocket. A knife is just a handy tool. From opening boxes to cleaning under those dirty fingernails, or cutting that parachord, a knife is a good tool to have at your disposal.
The other parts of my ensemble are pretty standard for most folks. A watch for time, and a wallet for money. Both of which I could use a little more of. Finally my cell phone. It is a powerful tool , I’m actually typing this from my WordPress app while sitting in the blind waiting for a deer to wonder in front of me.
So, what’s do you tote around with you everyday? Snap a photo and post it up on the Facebook page.
