Böker Nano Knife Review
The appropriately named Boker Nano is perfect little EDC blade for those looking for something less tactical, and more practical for every day utility tasks. The Boker Nano is the Taiwanese production version of David Curtiss design.
While Curtiss’ handmade Nano features a titanium frame, and a CPM-154 blade, the $295 starting price is out of range for a lot of us. The Boker version uses more common materials, along with high output production to build a knife that you can pick up for around $40.

Bokers 440C is some of the best around. If I’m buying a knife with 440C it’s got to be Boker or Buck, otherwise it’s probably staying on the shelf. Taking a closer look at the blade you’ll see Boker’s attention to detail. The flats of the blade have a satin finish, while the grinds (top swedge and main bevel) are stone washed. This two tone texture cool feature, that should be noted. The blade folds out easily with one hand using the milled thumb slot.
The knife locks solidly thanks to the steel framelock side of the knife which has a clean bead blasted finish. The lock side of the knife also features Curtiss’ signature crosshair pocket clip. The clip can be positioned for either tip-up, or tip-down carry.
Opposite the lock side is the wicked lime-green zytel handle scale. The pattern is great looking, and adds plenty of grip. The scale is molded over the stainless frame keeping the overall thickness of the knife, nice and thin.
For such a small knife, it fits comfortably in the hand. The curve of the handle bills the palm, while the jimped spine of the blade lends itself perfectly for a thumb ramp.
If you looking for a different knife that wont spook your office mates when you pull it out to open up a box, give the Nano a run. It’s a small knife with a big knife attitude.
Along with the green scaled version, BladeHQ is offering a limited run of 600 with orange handles if your looking for something a little more special.
