The Benefits of Hunting on a Friday
Friday is the perfect day to deer hunt. Not only do you get to start your weekend off with some outdoor fun, but it can actually be a great day for success in the field. Fridays typically mean fewer people out hunting than other days of the week and that higher success rate may just make all those extra hours worth it!
When Should You Start Your Hunt?
From personal experience, early mornings are usually best for hunting deer. Even though they tend to move around during mid-day and in the evening as well, there’s something special about getting up before dawn and heading into nature with nothing but your gear and your wits. That said, if you want to take advantage of potential midday activity, that’s an option too!
What Do You Need To Prepare?
Whether or not tomorrow is a good day to deer hunt will depend mostly on how prepared you are. Make sure you have all necessary permits and licenses in order before going out – failing to do so could result in hefty fines or even jail time depending on where you live. Additionally, layer up appropriately (temperatures can drop quickly) and pack enough food/water/snacks/etc so that you don’t become overwhelmed by hunger while waiting for targets of opportunity. Finally, double check all your equipment beforehand; if anything looks worn or damaged replace it ASAP! Minimizing risk when dealing with firearms should always be priority number one.
